La La Land in L.A.

January 3, 2018 15 Comments
Los Angeles Land

Looking for some quiet and quaint beach vibes? Discover the beaches of Los Angeles by escaping the vast urban city life to the long stretch of delightful sandy beaches along the west coast. Stroll or bike along the piers and walkways from Manhattan, Hermosa to Redondo beaches and you will find positive vibes, boutique shopping and good eats.

California is one of our favourite destinations to vacation so when my daughter Emily was attending a swim camp in San Diego last March 2017, hubby and I couldn’t resist joining her. After her swim camp, we drove up the Pacific Coast and made our way to the beautiful Hermosa Beach area. We prefer staying in a quieter area with less people but still enjoy driving into the big city when we wanted to.

Some of the highlights in the city was visiting the Walt Disney Concert Hall, an architectural landmark where we enjoyed a guitar concert in acoustic sophistication. The stainless steel exterior curves were stunning!

Another must see in the city is the Griffith Observatory located on the south facing slope of Mount Hollywood where we enjoyed an amazing view of Los Angeles! It truly felt like being on top of the world!

Both our stay in Hermosa Beach and our visit to the City of Stars really made this trip a La La Land experience!

Gorgeous! I never made it to the Observatory but I did see it from afar when I hiked to the back of the Hollywood sign.

Ok, read this again and I really need to get out to LA. The bitter cold and snow is not fun!

We were in LA in October. It’s such a fun city, and we also visited Gehry’s Disney Concert Hall as well as a number of other spots! Can’t wait to return.
